On the 22-year anniversary of the event that shocked the world & started a decades-long struggle where material objects outweigh human rights (as they usually do), we must remember all the innocent souls, whose opportunities and existence remain squandered by a blind, undying lust for greed and wealth. Some were propagandized, others were said propaganda’s prey. It doesn’t matter, it’s the ones at the top that could’ve stopped it, it’s the ones at the top who don’t stop it, & it’s the ones at the top who will never stop it. 70,000 Afghani and Pakistani innocent lives, gone forever. Every opportunity they had in life, completely wasted. One can only hope their souls live on. Art is the closest thing to our souls living on, as our works exist beyond ourselves, and our works are us

The emotions their works make me feel are otherworldly and absolutely indescribable. I believe in progression and the future with all my heart, and even moreso being a part of it. My aim for this release, musically, is to pay tribute to the works of artists that I’ve loved so much since experiencing them for the first time, and that have also connected to my soul in such an indescribable way, to reiterate that fact. In doing this, I wanted to also put my own spin on things and hopefully inspire others to do the same and keep on progressing into the future. Thank you so much for listening to TORTURE.
