SEEDED PLAIN & MITCH STAHLMANN - Landmast MC

SAC#046

Seeded Plain team up with fellow Californian Mitch Stahlmann for this joyous collaborative album of electroacoustic improvisations bringing together Stahlmann's flute and electronics with the percussive, tonal sounds of Day and Kreimer's catalogue of invented instruments.

Bryan Day is a sound artist, instrument inventor, and conceptual artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Using scavenged electronics, repurposed mechanical components, and amplified materials, he reimagines them as constructivist sound sculptures.

Jay Kreimer is a musician, instrument maker, sculptor, composer and educator. More to the point, he is an alchemist of hardware stores, surplus catalogs, and discarded objects, who assembles new things out of scraps of possibility. Kreimer performs with The Mighty Vitamins and Seeded Plain, as well as solo.

Mitch Stahlmann is an Oakland based improvisor and composer/performer. His personal practice is dedicated to revealing the unearthed tones and uncharacteristic behaviours of the flute alongside proprietary electronic systems.
