Antichrist - Sinful Birth

It's been a long time comin', but after six long years, the follow-up to 2011's landmark debut LP, 'Forbidden World,' is finally here! Electric Assault Records presented a taste of what would become 'Sinful Birth' with the 2013 single "Burned Beyond Recognition," which saw the Swedish thrash metal militia delve deeper into Hell, on a trajectory not unlike Slayer's between 1983 and 1985. 'Sinful Birth' is truly the band's 'Hell Awaits,' perfectly mixing undeniably sinister riffs at breakneck speeds (and there's no shortage of them here) with maniacal brilliance, yet the band's signature use and understanding of melody has in no way been lost and continues to set them apart from—and above—the rest. This is the new wave of thrash metal we've all been waiting for, the second coming of the Antichrist!
